Hi,

Does anybody know if a 230 to 240 transfo is a better way to provide the HT power in the G9 Project?

For a couple of euros more the local dealer sell 230 to 240 transfos.

I wonder because some people had problems with too low voltage or current when using 2 transfo in serie.

Should I use a 50 VA or 30 VA in the case of using a 230 to 240 transfo?

Thanks

Just make sure it´s not an AUTO TRANSFORMER. Most of these 230-240 or 115-230 or 127-240 or any other region converter transformers are not real transformers, I mean with primary and secondaries isolated. Most of them are just auto transformers, winded as inductors, and wouldn´t be safe to use in a tube preamp psu, IMHO. But YMMV. I´ve seen it done in hifi DIY out there...

Hi rafafredd,

Thanks for the tip, I will have a look to that.
But I don't understand what imho and ymmv are.
Could you explain this to me?
