Latching push button switch banks - where to get them ??
« on: September 24, 2007, 05:49:24 PM »
You know the type I mean ? ITT momentary push button switches with a latch bar and mounting bracket.
You used to be able to get them anywhere. Not anymore!
Anybody know any suppliers/surplus etc.
I'm looking for a 5 position switch bank - buttons as well.
Why did theye suddenly die out ?
Actually, to be fair, you can still get the switches - it's the mounting brackets and latchbar that seems to have died out.
Any clues please ?

There's an 8-way interlocking one here:

I have a handful of these and the button caps are available from a few places as well (separate items in different colours).

Many thanks for your replies.

Harpo. My German is not too good (!) Does that company do buttons for those switches as well ? (Either square or rectangular).

all listed knobs come in black, shape is rectangular, conical or zylindrical (also with window, indicating red or green when activated)

There should be other suppliers as well. Itt/Shadow shafts are a kind of standard. Maybe these also fit http://werfo.sulzerchemtech.com/rean/cont_swit.asp

For online translation I can recommend the Firefox browser with the "GTranslate" plugin - works very nice, even for chineese..

They died-out because of $0.002 SMT logic chips.

I get them from Ian Haygreen at Stanler:

He has been a huge help to me!
