I know there's a few US companies that make Mic Pre kits and boards, the only one i can seem to find much info on is Seventh Circle. So who else makes mic pre kits either valve or solid state?
I know in the non commercial sector the Green Pre is the starting point and the valve G9 seems to have been well covered, is there any other pre's people have built up and what pcb's are available?
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Here's one i found for a valve pre amp, would that have enough gain for most applications?

You might have seen this already, but here's the link to Bauman's original post. I think he has a new order going out in a couple days. I'm going to get a pair of these. Should be a nice build.

I think i'll go for a couple myself, is there a schematic about anywhere?

I'm assuming it's based on http://www.danalexanderaudio.com/api.html (scroll down and there's an API 312 schematic), with a few options for trannies, DIPs or discrete opamps, relays for switching, etc.

But I haven't seen a schematic or an actual parts list for his design. I'm hoping that he'll send some documentation with it. I'm also excited about getting the opamp boards.

Hi,

You can get the R312 files here:

Hang on while I upload the new files, which are REV3 instead of REV2.
I´ll up the schematic, partlist and the ready-to-transfer layout for those that enjoy home etching... :) Check back later.

cheers!
Fabio
