Does anyone know where to find the latest mod schems/info/parts list or whatever for this mic? I spent several hours reading all the posts I could find including searching and it seams all the schem pics are removed or too old.

Or maybe this http://www.directap.com/audio.htm is basically the same design? If so what do you think about the last version at the bottom of the page eliminating the zeners? and also I noticed that Bill's version doesn't use the floating ground on the capsule like Marik mentioned. Is this beneficial and used in the final version or just an earlier experiment?

Thanks for any help.

Erik

Oh man I even saw that schem as I read the thread, I thought it wasn't the final version or something.

Anyway, thanks very much for the tip. now to make a parts order.

The directap one is quite good. I did that to a couple mics. It is just gutting and a couple jumpers.

It really wasn't bad at all. It saves you the part ordering and making a new PCB. Well you will need a 10K resistor, a new capsule, and wire.

I also recorded a couple clips:

Right now I am using them as room mics. They have been sounding great so far. But the time will tell when it comes time to mix.
