api 2503 output tranny for a pm1000 channel?

has anyone used a api 2503 output transformer in conjunction with a yamaha pm1000 mic pre?

i have 2 laying around.. and i need 2 more trannies to finish a enclosure i made for my pm1000s...

Should be fine if you wire them 1:1..I don't think the pm's can push a step up..

what if i use the master channel board as a buffer??

.. Ive seen lots of people on here use them to drive some more level into their trannies...

Not sure about it but sounds okay using another stage for more gain..I have never racked one using the master section. Let us know how it turns out!

add another stage and let us know if it will drive a step up tranny. i just build a pre using the pm1k talkback channels and it has tons of juice...you might wanna have a look at that schem to get ideas, its in the manual, and it uses the same gain block as all the rest of the pm1k.
