I would like to make "mastering versions" of the equipments I'm going to build...This means changing the potentiometers for rotary switches (for matching stereo channels and further recalls). I wonder if there is a way to create an excel page (or if does exists) with this input options:

-ohm value (of the potentiometer)
-number of positions (of the new rotary switch)

so that the displayed result will be the value of each resistor for each position

of course it will be for logarithm pot.

Thanks, Gec

Slightly OT, this free download coverts Excel files into other formats.

Does anybody know of an Excel type program that is non microsoft?

Like Foxit is to Adobe, etc?

Excell is too cumbersome.

I downloaded from www.openoffice.org it's free and it works like excel, and can open and save files in excel format :thumb:

hey, cool, i dont have to suppoet my high scool buddy.
he has enuff dough anyway.
you have to download the whole 120 MB install files unfortunately, but can choose only Calc from the install items, which is only 12 MB.
Be sure to scrub the 120 install!

Hey, runs on this 98 box also.

MS office is so inter twined, a real pain to run Excel without much excess baggage.
