Loose wire in Altec 436A

I was moving my Altec 436a in my rack and noticed the loose white wire you see in the pictures below. I think it used to connect to the unused 2 "bar" power plug in the back (the rectangular brown thing with the circle in the middle), since the plastic on it is broken. Do I need to do anything with this wire (the other end is attached to the power switch on the front panel)?

If you want the plug, replace it, if not- Cut that at the switch, and remove the black wire as well.
