Can I put in a 4007 for a UF1007 in a bias circuit for this Hiwatt I'm working on? Does the "ultra-fast" thing matter for this?
Thanks!
Joel

The "ultra-fast" probably will not, as such---but the forward voltage characteristic and tempco could. They may well differ between the plain vanilla 4007 and the UF part. Not drastically, to be sure.

worked well with a load and biased well. I'll plug it into the cab tomorrow and give it a listen.
Thanks!
Joel

Tempco is like for a p-n junction made of silicone, and forward voltage depends on a potential barrier and an internal resistance. Or I forgot something?
