I'm trying to find a high quality DPDT mini toggle switch.

Anyone have a good source besides radio shack?

If the switch is in the audio path,
the quality of the switch will be important?

thanks all!

rtfm etas

electronics supply co.--farnell, newark, mouser...read data sheets for info on contact material (gold, bronze, etc) and intended application; I've never really delved into switch data sheets, but there are relays specially designed with for communications level/type signals and there may also be special low noise, low contact resistance switches. I've never had much problem with run-of-the-mill switches--yet.

I think I might go all out and get a 2 pos goldpoint switcher...:thumb:
the switch is for toggling between different 2 x types of output transformers so it sits right before the signal goes out the door.

btw what does "rtfm etas " mean?

no Marty, here it means "read the f'in Metas".
'tis not meant to be rude, there is too much for a newbie to read, but one must RTFM --sooner and more often, the better

Nah--line level +4dB don't need too fancy a switch. it's the real low level signals that will benefit most from an absurd switch
