there's tips here for a transformer trick or putting 100R's in series with mains

Hi there,

the original specs for the V72 are 220V -5/+10% so you are fine with the 240V. 90% of all EMI V72S units were just 220V running on 240V.
Only issue today are the EF804s they are quite hard to come by so a 1Ohm resistor for inrushing current while switching will keep the happy.

Best regards,

Oliver

Good to hear that from you Oliver. I have had my V77 amps for maybe ten years now and they work great with ca 235V. I don´t use them 8h/day though.

Hi Oliver,

Where do you put the 1 Ohm resistor(s). Is this from the rectifier, or do you mean the inrushing of current during start up when you first turn it on?

cheers.
