Hi everybody , searched a lot in the lab but the search function does not well with short terms like "di"-"box"..
I´m looking for a nice DI-box design with (active?) splits of maybe 3 simultaneous xlr-outs , this will be my interconnection for all the drummachine/synth stuff i want to record through my DIY outboard.
So sound should be most neutral and fast.
What´s the way to go here ? Really like to read some suggestions

mmh..i think for 3 outs i have to build 3 times the electronics and i would need another tranny to meet the impedance needed..
or maybe i go for the api-mod , which already has three outs..?

If you want them truely isolated , it will take extra electronics or xfmrs ,
if you don't suffer any impedance problems from " y'ing " together
then it is certainly cheaper and easier , but it's really one or the other
so try a Y cable first and if you're getting a sucky weak tone ,
then you know what to do ,

If you have a transformer with three taps like the api , and it works for what you need ,
then great not so like that around these days

Good luck

thx for infos already.
As this is going to be my workhorse in interfacing , afford and money should play a minor role !
so maybe a good split transformer ( lundhal?) and api/990 style drivers..
or would this be overkill ? (>>to much wasted possible Gain?)
need to scale line level up to pro level , no microphones here , no phantom issues.

another thing , anybody knows a european distributor for 990 style
opamps ? Or are the DIY clones from this forum easy enough to do for
an "intermediate" beginner like me ?? (and also have this luxury specs the originals have)

uups , should not have said the nomoneyissue thing !
the jensen way will cost about 500$ without tax ,thats toooooo much !
thought of 150 to 200 euros for one channel..

output impedance of my mighty machinedrum is 100 ohms , i think the
gssl, the 1176 and the N33609 will have about 1500 ohms input impedance ?
so a passive 1:1:1 / 1:1:1 would see ~ 500 ohms left for each channel , is that as easy as that ( sorry if this is BS , i´m ready for your answers!)

Thx as always
axel
