Does my voltmeter behave normally ?

Hi,

I have a Meterman 37XR.

I'm just wondering...

When I'm in voltage modes (DC or alternatif) with the probes not touching anything (litterally, "in the air"), I've got crazy and "moving_very_fast" measurements. I'm talking about mV here...

Is this normal ?
Is it static electricity ?
Ghosts ? :wink:

Normal behaviour--it picks up hum etc. It should read stable and low voltage when the inputs are shorted.

Yes indeed, when I short the probes, it jumps to zero.
