looking for push switch buttons. small conical topped ones

Hello.

I'm looking for somewhere preferably in the UK that supplies those really small buttons that go on ALPS/ITT push switches. They are the ones with the sort of conical tops.

I know digikey has them

I know these are supposed to be standard, & I used to get them from Rapid Electronics in the UK, but everyone in the UK seems to have stopped stocking them.

I think these are made by Sifam.

btw.: Does anyone know of pre-printed Sifam-Knobs? Something like "ON", "CUT", "1", "2", etc... They are unaffordable as replacemants from SC...

You could always buy plain buttons and get them engraved. Even the High Street shops (the ones that cut keys and re-sole shoes) - should be able to do it.....

Also check on the Prize cup or trophy engravers perhaps?

If the items from SC are 'unaffordable' - the other options have to be costed for comparison, including engraving.

For instance - Canford Audio in the UK will engrave free issue items (supplied by Customer) - for 0.67 UKP per character, or 0.80 UKP per character with a coloured infill.

Sifam will certainly supply printed buttons - subject to a minimum order - contact them to find out what this might be.......

Sifam PB 08/50/000 is mechanically equivalent to the original ITT Schadow type that Rob probably was thinking about. The only difference is that ITT is glossy and Sifam is matte finish. If I remember right Sifam has minimun order of 1000 pcs but maybe someone is stocking them them in UK?

I think Canford has them.
