VM 111- silicon steel- any good for audio transformers? I know that lundahl uses silicon iron, but i guess it is not the same/similar material :roll:

the "vm" part i'm not sure about, but 111 is a common grade of silicon steel that is used in audio transformers, particularly outputs. it will often have a thickness appended to the end, as in 111-35.
