Hi, this is my first post.

One of my Gates Sta Level has no R42 register and its 6V6 Screen Voltage is +245VDC. The other Sta has R42 and its 6V6 Screen Voltage is low +210VDC. Both original unit, no modification. STA LEVEL Schematic on the net has R42 and +248V on the Screen, so I'm confused...

Does anyone know what is the correct 6V6 Screen Voltage for STA LEVEL?

It's not very important. This is an 8-Watt amplifier asked to deliver 0.25 Watts. Whether it is really 8W max or 7W max hardly matters.

Thank you very much for the answers. The plate voltage and B+ between the two units are the same. The sound is the same with or without R42. With R42, the screen voltage of both units is about +200V to 210V. Maybe the lower voltage is due to old C7 leakage.

Leakage possible answer.

Have you measured using the same pair of tubes in both amps? I can imagine tube variation and condition being a factor.
