the purusha pot saga continues.

this is crazy.
now i have ...
2 sets of omegs - dont fit purusha case
2 sets of colins - shafts aren't long enough
2 sets of single deck sfernice - would work fine but no dual decks and no center detent.

ive spent way too much on pots and this case..  Anyone know where to get P11A2Q0EJSX00103K
i assume these are the dual deck with longer shafts?

I've been pretty lazy on those adapter PCBs for the Omegs, but then, I'm having a hard time getting cases done, so... one thing drags down the other.... Anyway, can you just make a new faceplate for the purusha case that would fit colin's pots? I've never seen Purusha's case, if he has a second faceplate maybe you could get rid of it and bolt the pots directly to the front faceplate? just a thought

yeah id have to drill out the front panel cause its only wide enough for the shafts of the pots and switches.  argh.  wont look as nice but im ready to rack this thing and forget my pot woes.

Drilled it, can't use the back panel so I'd doesn't look as cool but it works with Colins sfernice pots. Thanks for the help all

Hello,
Newb here  ;D  from the AudioX parts list, could someone tel me what PT1, PT4 - 10k 63p is ? and PT2 PT3 - 10k 63p is ? - they look like trimmers to me, but have never seen this 63p designation before.

  Thanks,

Spectrol 63P. You can use practically any trimmer type but 63P (or mechanically equivalent) fits the layout best.

Hi,
another newb question, I used these - http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=296-7040-5-ND - in my GSSLs, but got them from Newark, Newark has replaced them with these - http://www.newark.com/jsp/search/productdetail.jsp?id=58K2024&whydiditmatch=rel_1&matchedProduct=08F2505&Ntt=08F2505 - would anyone know if the Fairchild brand would be better or worse in performance ?

  Thanks,
            Chip

BTW.. looks awesome Brizco , nice work !

Well i'm not a pro, but if you need precise numbers you could still make a comparison of datasheet, but for me it's still a 5532, that needs a Power supply of max +/-22V, in DIP8 with same pin outs, same same...;

buschfsu - nice work, I see you are in the U.S- may I ask were you purchased the knobs ? I am using the Omeg pots with 4mm shaft dia.

  thanks,
            Chip

btw, I ordered the WIMAs and pots from Laura at TAW - very reasonable pricing, fast shipping and great experience.

Hello again.. ;D

I just need to verify PT requirements, its been stated in this thread that each of these units draws about 70mA, I am putting four units in one case, = 280mA, I have a 15va PT - .500mA in series - is this enough or am I pushing the limit ?

I had the boards laying around here for some time and thought to myself.. what the heck, let's do the w492 and so i started of
But now i'm thinking about the pots (noooo, not again! you must think now), which ones have the longest shafts and will fit a 1u case? i have the small panels to fit on a standard 19 inch panbel fromn Dan and so it's a bit thicker then standard. The omeg pots looks like a really small shafts and i'm afraid it won't fit.
