pultec filter stage not sounding good between 3khz to 1khz

I just received two 150mh inductors ,i have put them in a pultec filter suppled my tat ,i have notice at high boast and high bandwidth the inductors are crackling the frequency's , i am boasting 1.5khz and 2khz is this natural or are these inductors shizit.

which inductor is it? pics?
wouldnt you want 312 mH for the 1,5k position?

i am using toko 2 150mh and 1 of 12mh

you connected them in series, right?
but yes, tokos seem to sound brittle, and three of them in series...

yes ,so what should i do wip them out ,or change caps
