hello,
I was thinking of using two 1:1 output transformers in parallel (primary in paralllel, secondaries in series) to achieve a 1:2 ratio.
First, is this a good idea?
I have 8 sony mxp console outputs transformers waiting laying around and I was thinking of using them at the output of a api 312 clone.
but what about the new zobel values?
in their previous use, the transformers had these zobel values:
100ohms/3300picoF
should I multiply these values for the series wiring. so 200 ohms, 6600picoF for the new ?

any ideas on the subject ?

thank you

Maxime

Not sure about the Zobel, but I think you should have no problems. This sort of dual transformer coupling occurs with a mid-side matrix. Worth trying. Seems like overkill for your purpose, though.
