a modern take .....

triple pi

i even added a vu meter :)

a gain pot controls the input level ,

and an attentuator to adjust the amount of boost . (no pops!)

uses lundahl transformers

and EF86 tubes /

works with sowter choke or lundahl choke .

combined some of the features of the v72 , v72s , v78 circuits

so most of the components can be re-designated to make either....

sounds juicy !

sowter version to follow.

 I'm always utterly stunned by your work, that looks awesome!

How much gain do they output?

Best regards

I have no dowery but put me in line ,
taking orders ?

Looks great , you do , do nice work
and although i didn't participate in the
optical comp , thanks for providing all those
units for the grp

regards Greg

grrrreat!

and i swore to myself that i wasn't going to buy anymore PCB's until I finished all my other projects. thanks

thank you so much , !!

it's been a really long road with this .

sitting on it for a week , before full production .

some last minute voltage/resistor changes , and deciphering the

frequency response / feed back resistor match up for the manual.

as for the actual gain output specs , (the amount of gain capable)

honestly im not sure wich program to use , so i can post a chart.
(point me in the right direction so i can give you that figure)

since it has an input gain pot , i basically consider the attentuator
a 'boost select' low,med, and 11.

but you could use solely the attenuator with enough steps
to use that as the actual volume control.

the attenuator part actually took me 4 months to figure out .

ill be doing some side by side comparisons with another v72 at
a studio here in town .

of course the lundahls give it a different feel , but that's a similar
conversation to the la2a/sowter vs la2a/utc debate.

sounds great . dark and mean , depending on the frequency response setting .

ill have pricing and availability in a few days , once i finalize the
files for production . (pcb printing takes 2-3 weeks)

it all started with this ....lol

Are these single channel boards with psu?

What about dual-channel? Do you need two psu's for a pair of these, or can you just populate one psu and leave the other blank (looks like each pcu includes psu components as well).

Please correct me if I'm talking out of my (_l_)

Hey Gregory,

Sorry to Hijack..... the the unit looks great. I have been emailing you. Whats happenin' bro with the T4Bs?

shoot me an email when you get a chance. thanks

hi there .

cannakin , im not getting your emails for some reason ,
theres nothing in my junk either , try one more time ,

as for the t4bs

no prob , finally got all the panels for the group buy and additional orders , it will take a few days to get everything soldered and tested .
so it's safe to say everything will ship on friday ,

thanks so much for your patience , the el panel manufacturer is horrid to do business with , at least in my experience .
they said 8 weeks , and it turned into 24 weeks , but they did take
the money , very quickly .

to all , sorry for the delays , they shouldn't happen anymore.

------------------------------------------

this pcb is single chanenel pcb ,
but i will be making single unit pcbs with a separate power supply ,

i usually add the AC section to all pcbs, because it makes it easier
for beginners ,
