I am designing a monitor section for my mixer project. I thought that this monitor control pcb could also be usefull for other people with active monitors. Please give your opinion what to include.

I am going to include:
-channel interchange L/R or R/L
-mono
-phase invert R
-level control (potentiometer)
-input selection (necessary? how many inputs?)

I am not going to include:
-balance control (there is no real use)

inputs and outputs will be balanced

- dim- and/or mute-switch
- output select with individual level presets for nearfield, midfield, kitchenradio, handyblaster, ..
- maybe headphone amp

I have been mulling over this since it is overkill and not as clean to run everything through my allen heath to my monitors.

my ideas so far:

1. 2 990 opamp buffers for l/r
-probably John Hardy's
2. Elma stepped switch volume control with matched resistors
3. Multiple in/out with mults on 2 inputs
