I see different sources and schematics that show 2 different things...the brown wire on the primary side as high...and some have it as low? I have always gone with brown being low (-) and red being high (+)....anybody have a thought or confirmation on this? I am racking up all my 312's into one rack and want the phase to be right..and consistent :)....

Thanks,
Ray

Hey Ray,

go here http://www.danalexanderaudio.com/api.html

Get the PDFs "Transformers #1 and #2"

They have the hookup phase info

Thanks guys...I knew it was quad filiar and identical....I understand the phasing now..what I can't wrap my brain around is the two different hook up schemes...the 325 uses it "as advertised" with the brown as the + while the 312 uses the red (?)..the use the same opamp. Is there something I am missing about the 312 that makes it invert the phase somewhere? I have 325 cards that I use as mic pre's so I will run it that way...but still would like to understand the 312 circuit...

Cheers,
Ray
