There is no self etch layout..  I'm sure one of you crafty guys could do a layout from the original build files.

Just remember the 1081 has almost unobtanium switches..

IMO it would be better to build a layout like the new 1084, but use multiple parts to cover the same functions.

Sorry there is... Had to look on my drive.

Same thing posted above still applies. I'll place it in the Group mail later today and repost here.

Hi all,
Here is some info about the TEN81
http://www.nrgrecording.de/html/neve1081.html
http://audio.kubarth.com/ten81/

I put the RAR files on the gmail account for the Traces/Overlay and BOM of the  B312,B338, B340...
I hope to start this project soon, but i need to find some parts like the switches, marconi knobs...

Maybe we can make a groupbuy for this parts???
Thanks to Patricio for this files

Thats basically most of the stuff I have.

The big issue is the switches, Collin stocks the Carnhill equivalents of everything in the Iron department.

woo been away!! feels good to get back on the bench .

no problems for the files anytime i found em somewhere a few months ago.  im pretty sure im not ready to undertake this monster just yet :D but maybe next year! first i want to try something simpler and less of a brainbender as my second diy project :D
anyways good luck with it! and well if there is anyone etching pcbs count me in for one set :) .. as i said maybe next year.. or the one after!

cheers!

Hello!

I'm hoping to start building a pair of these very soon, though I can't seem to find available PCBs. Anybody have any self etch files available?

The 1081 also has many components no longer being made. It would need a good redesign and full testing in order to make this a viable project. That is why I made my EZ1084EQ. I also prefer the amp section on the 1084 but that is a matter of taste.

I found the switches a long time ago and the minimum qtys were prohibitive. There are other issues. Yes you could use fancy switching and alter the design but it no longer would resemble a 1081 would it?

If there was enough interest I'd look into making this project available. But the 1084 is so satisfying that it makes the 1081 unnecessary in my opinion.

Cheers

Jim
