Just built this:

It's just a simple 2 to 1 summer, my friend needed a merger and
i was working on crush-n-blend so I just put together some opamps.

Works great, brought me to the question of simplicity as a means of
keeping audio clean, you know, build one of these with some OPAs
and have a little summer for any application?

eh opa's... but 553x's will give you that ssl sound :D

(dang.. those audiopheels)

edit: you are aware that your "mix-stick" is one-channel balanced ready?
i.e. if you wish to sum unbalanced, you can sum 2 ch L-R on one stick, and you can sum one channel (L or R) balanced on one stick (two sticks for LR balanced operation)?

Ah, no, hadn't occured to me but now that you say it...cool. With the design what I was aiming for is to be able to really simply etch a lot of these next to each other and all on one rail, too. Maybe build a gain block and a pan block and a distributor and have lots of little legos to build a mixer  :D

If the real thing don't do the trick
You better make up something quick
You gonna burn burn burn burn it to the wick

(Ohh, barracuda!)
