seems to be a lot of tube mic designs around...but i can't seem to find a xformer balanced, solid state design to use in a multipatter LDC...i'm sure there is one somewhere, can someone recommend one?

i've got some nice, transformerless LDC's around, would like to have something with some iron...

KM84 amplifier circuit is simple and works very well.

But you probably need some power conversion to do multi pattern, and this is far from easy as DIY.

gus and gyraf, thank you for the replies.

i am planning to build this into a studio projects c3 body with the multipattern 797 capsule. i will look into the u87 circuit, i think adapting the km84 to multipattern is a little over my head for now!

any other suggestions are welcome.
