hey

i found a nice cache of NOS phillips lytics [blue] with a nice spread of values that would be useful to me. would they still be OK? just wondering how much the caps would have degraded/deformed [not sure what the correct term would be] sitting on the shelf for potentially the last 30 years, if any?

thanks.

They may be OK, but you would have to reform them before use. Then check the leakage and sort out the bad ones.

Best regards,

May be unformed.
Simply connect nominal voltage to them via bib resistance.
High voltage units have normally longer life.
