Just got a used/bad u87 capsule.

4 wire.

plastic, backplate spacer about .022 inch thick I measured .021 to .023 inches depending on where I was on the ring?, about 33.88mm OD about 27mm ID it is had to measure this piece
my micrometer is in inches thats why the mixed measurements

Backplates measure 33.88mm in Dia. and ABOUT 4.19mm thick I have not taken the ring and skin off yet.

Question what is the best way to measure the bore holes and thur holes?

before I send it of to get it reskinned I want to measure what I can.

Tim how does this compare to your k67?

Gus, How about to try to use it as a template, and make a mold, using plasticine, or similar material, preferably, which gets hard with some cure.
BTW, what material would be this?

Great work Tim!
Gus, do you know what year the capsule is?
For hole measurement, they make these sets of hardened steel pins that you insert into the holes until you find the right fit. Any machine shop will have these, but maybe not in the accuracy you require.

No, you will get an error from the calipers having a finite blade width with holes that small.
Ahh! A drill index, I mean a really big one with metrics, size 56's the whole works! Cheaper than the drift pins.
