It should work, but you may need a regulated supply for minimum noise. I use a simple two transistors and a zener circuit. You could use an LM317HV or a TL783 also.

And unless you have the 6SN7/6SL7 tubes I would use the 12V types...

It was made for a cheap Hammond transformer (200V and 5V), which is not an option here (only 117V primary).
