Well, got the transformers wired up fitted the valves and BINGO !!
They are the wrong traffo's ( Lundahl ) so I need to get some new ones for a bit more "umphh"

Channel 1 sounded great with a P-Bass Di'd and started to compress with input and threshold cranked to 11 !

Channel 2 has a bit of hum due to running the power cables around to the "mid front" of case for the switch .... Tat !!! so when moved
away from the output gain pot it improves right away.

I found it a bit bass "light" so may try some of Kubi's cap changes.

I'm really chuffed that it works quite well, need to add the stereo link and power light/bulb also the bypass relay's

Cheers to Analag and Volker ..... almost there on this one :)

Marty.

it is never a good idea to have the main switch in the middle of the front.
don't know how often this was mentioned ???

anyway Marty, great you are finishing this project ;)
you won't regret it

Cheers Volker, I LOVE the red colour but don't need the 2 x "Hard/Soft" holes and don't want that switch
central.
I may well fill the holes, make new ones for power and repaint it ..... hmmmm .... it won't ever look as good though :-(

.... any news on that front panel idea BTW ??

Marty.

Good going marty , here i am posting instead of building
of course now that pushes you to the next item on the confessions
thread .

The arrogance of some people to stick to their desires even when others
are involved , produces switches in the middle , i call it ego
