this is a generic china tube mic, you can improve a lot and you will find lots of useful information on this forum.
-- make up your mind how much you want to spend
if you want to spend 30 € get a NOS tube and change some caps to better quality once, adjust the psu to 6 V
if you want to spend more, get a better capsule 100€ (dale m7, excellent ) or Tim Campbell CK12 (270€),
but you can also spend 300-500 € and end up with a mic competing with a old Neumann, AKG or a Brauner
I'd say the sound is limited to capsule, 70%, circuit 15% and transformer 15%,
looking at the head basket and dimension of the sct800 maybe a C12 copy could be great

Thanks for replay.
jes im looking for a new capsule, this is the raeson for the idea.
im found a capsule on Ebay
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=110344838071

i wood like to pay 300€ for a capsule.
That is my first step, so your suggestion with the C12 is very interresting.
a stupid qoustion where i get from the capsule.
and what was the next step. For the material can you post me a shop wher i can buy the stuff???

thanks
Denis

If you are going to spend money, think long about what sort of mic you want in the end.

You could buy an M7 from Thiersch, a re-skinned Neumann capsule from various sources, or a CK12 from Tim. There are also Peluso capsules, but I have not tried them...

as far as I know the kk67 has a high rise which is compensated in the U67s, U87s preamp, I 'm pretty sure you can't drop a KK67 in any circuit.
I'd go for Campbell CK12 . If you drop it into your mic you won't have to modify anything and will have a beautiful mic, the sct800 circuit is close to
an C12 os Elam. If you want to swap out the tx, consider to remove the cathode follower and take a different ratio TX.  search for my ela m 251 clone at the forum.

I'd argue the biggest differnce you can make by a long stretch is the capsule (maybe not necessarily best "bang for buck") because I find that original Chinese capsule to be completely crap. To me, that same harsh, spitty, sibilant character is always present, no matter what the circuit is.

Like I was saying about capsules before, you should consider what you want in the end. What do you plan to use the mic for? The difference between a CK12, and M7 and a K67 is quite large!

For the current circuit, try a NOS 6072 or 12AT7/ECC81.
