hi everybody
i'm sourcing the parts for a dual pultec .
i ordered the case and pcbs from Tat Purusha.
i only ordered 2 lundhal ll5402 since i do not care that much for balanced inputs (and it's expensive). is there anybody that think it's a huge mistake and why ?
is it ok to use 1/4w metal resistor for all resistor except the 3k3 2w one in the power supply ?
i plan on using wima mks2 for all non polarized caps except the big 4u7/250v (i'm gonna use that one i think http://www.banzaieffects.com/product.php?productid=27263&quantity=2). am i missing something ?
i plan on using this transfo for the main power on both srpp boards http://www.banzaieffects.com/product.php?productid=23392&quantity=1. ( i live in belgium so it's 220/230v)
i really have no idea what to use for the second transfo ! can i simply buy a second one and wire it backwards and use it to provide the 220v to both boards in parallel ? do i have to buy 3 and end up with 90 euros of toroidal transformers ?
i still have no idea about the kind of inductors i'm gonna use (i'm not that cheap when selecting components but i feel that sometime some are overhyped)

thanks in advance

Not really.  I like everything balanced, but that's just me.  The G-Pultec will still work OK without the balanced ins.  The schematic even says it's optional.

Yep.

Should be fine.

The transformer you have there is probably overkill.  120VA is quite large.  For two channels you could probably get away with something about half that size.  It will still work OK, but it will take up a lot of space.  A 30-50VA transformer will work, and be a more useful size.

The second transformer to step back up to 220VAC can be 30VA or so, like this one

You won't need three transformers, two transformers for the whole lot will be more than enough.  Get two of the 30VA models and it'll work nicely and still fit into a 2u rack case.  A pair of 50VA transformers should also fit (I used 2x 50VA toroidals in my G9 without any problems).

thanks a lot curtis !
i had another probably studid idea .
for some reason i have a lot of those ikea lamp in my house http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00050467
i broke one and noticed that the transfo inside is a
prim 240v 50hz
second 12v 1,6A 20VA
the brand is taiwan heng yin electric
it would be cool if i could used those but i guess the transfo in a 8 dollar ikea lamp might be crap
