PULTEC P2P HELP !!!!!

hi there ,

I followed recproaudio's p2p pultec and for a few hours it worked beautifully but then the two 50uf 50v caps on the top turret board that connects to the 12au7 just blew up in smoke?

i m still perplexed why the hell this happened ...if there is anyone that can give me a hint i iwll be iternally gratefull here is the link to the p2p layout

if someone is thinking of doing this project you are for a great surprise the low end on this eq is amazing....

wild guess that they were backwards.

That would be my guess as well. Make sure the negative side is going to ground.

hey guys thanks for your replys i will check it out...do u think it would have lasted two hours before the caps blows up if it was reversed?

It can be as there's not a lot of voltage here...
