I know these are chinese-made rotary switches but can´t find any info on who is the manufacturer...any info?

Thanks so much !

anyone know if these have adjustable end-stops. Tried emailing hamptonpa245 and uraltone but no reply as of yet.

greetings,

Thomas

They dont. But you can make them stop at a given position by opening it up and sticking in a piece of plastic .

I spoke to the guy but i find ridiculous having to pay $6 shipping for each unit...120 USD for a relatively small box from China, he says, no shipping discount on multiple units. That´s why i want to know who the manufacturer is...because i need a somewhat large amount. Guess i´m getting them from uraltone at a higher price but saving on shipping.

thats totally silly, i sent him an message and said, why does it way you will discount shipping on the 4 pole but not the 2 pole how much would the total be for 14 pcs, 2 pole 24 step and i recieved a quite abck that worked out to 2.70 a piece shipping, i am going to order some more once i check them out but not if hes going to be silly about it

i hope this guy is willing to give me a decent shipping price...looks like the same switches.

hmmmm, hope so, i would honestly send him a message from another account if neccecary, asking why he will discount shipping on the 4 deck but not the 2 deck and tell him you'll be ordereing a bunch, if you have more trouble ill be ordering more soon, and ill see if i can get them all shipped to me (at a reasonable rate) then ill send em off to you

let me know how it goes

They look like knock off's of the Electroswitch C4 or C7 series.

I've came close to ordering some of these switches a few times before and I always end up not doing it. In the end I want higher quality and it seems like there really not that cheap after shipping after-all.

Great idea ! let´s make it work as a last resort.

Well, i asked the guy and he´s giving me a shipping charge of 5.5 usd for the first one and 2.5 usd per additional switch...sounds nice...

Pretty much same deal i got

wohoo!

what are you building???

PM670, D-AOC and D-LA2A, amongst other not so big projects, but the rotary switches are for this three builds (yes, i possibly want stepped controls on the D-LA2A ! but if i make my mind i´ll have spares anyway...)

Finally !

After 1 month and 1 week my rotary switches arrived ! total + shipping from Hong Kong to Colombia via airmail was around 167 USD for 14 units.

They look promising. I mean, for the price, they look and feel nice.

I think i can dissasemble the 2x24 to make a 1x24 and keep the other deck as a "spare", on the ones i need a single deck rotary...

Guys;
i never hear about Palazzo switches from Italy here. Those are very good, price are low and they have many options. If order is at least 100 euros they sell direct.

4V model can have 3 poles 12 positions, others even 24... 4V feels almost like Elma.

hey those Palazzo's look good! thanks for the tip.

I bought some 2x12 deck switch from mouser for one project and while it's constructed like a tank (if not even for a tank), it's inconveniently heavy feel, especially with small knobs.

[edit]

HA! turns out most of my PCB mount switches are palazzo! http://www.commutatori-palazzo.it/inglese/commutatori/en_10R.htm

banzai electronics sells them and they are indeed much higher quality thank their lorlins. (although palazzo says they are low cost)  8)

This switches are much better than those you have:
http://www.commutatori-palazzo.it/inglese/commutatori/en_4V.htm
And this can be made in 3p24pos, they are good too:

4V series feel almost like Elma and they are also closed. I was very very surprised by their quality.
Palazzo sells direct for orders over 100 euros and switches cost around 10 euors.
