As an aside, Roger got the Pico 500 distributed by Mercenary Audio.  Well deserved, I think!  You can still build yer own iteration (though not the 500 type).

Don’t let the plain’n’simple layout fool you…the FCS “Pico 500” compressor is as versatile and forgiving as it is easy to use, and a wonderful addition to our 500-series family. Preset peak and RMS compression modes cover a wide range of applications with little to no dicking around to get a sound. For the most part it is a very transparent device and a great “coverass” for tracking, though perfectly capable of radical overcompression in Peak mode with higher ratios. We’ve been trying to get bad sounds to come from the Pico’s output for a few months to no avail.

Just had to post this .... stunning beastie  !!!!

MM.

The unit with the Lundahls is mine!  I've been discussing this with Roger for many months and it's nearly killed me not to talk about it here.  As you probably all know by now I'm a huge Pico fan for my mastering work but this unit will give me everything I love about my Pico but with more control.

I cannot wait to get it into my hands.  Roger is a seriously talented guy not to mention being a great guy to deal with.  This is my second complete Pico build that I've bought from him and we are already discussing the third.

Cheers,
Ruairi

Stereo/dual mono connection is something like 9 points that must be switched together.  Thus the army of relays.  Also a few for side chain connection, switching output transformers out of circuit, and bypass.
