Hi Guys,

anyone know where to get teeny weeny vu's like the ones on the API 525? I know that they are pretty inaccurate, but I do like to see a needle getting bent . . . .

    Many thanks,

Something like this?:

These were used as a battery charge indicator in some medical equipment. It mounts in a rectangular hole 7/16 x 11/16 in. As I recall, the movement is 0-200 uA DC. The two parts of the meter case are held together with cellophane tape so it can easily be taken apart. It looks quite similar to the stock 525 meter.

These don't appear to be VU meters though. No spec for ballistics. I guess the 525 meters aren't VU anyway but sat reading sidechain DC?

Hi,

I think you are right, Tom.

I just need some indication of GR in an LA4 type optical I have in mind. Doesn't need to be accurate at all! - that's what lug'oles are for . . .

            Kindest regards,
