Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help - the transformer primary on one of my Oktava Mk-219 mics has gone open circuit, does anyone know where I can source a replacement or equivalent transformer for this mic? (I believe its the same xformer in the Mk-319 too)
  thanks

Find the ratio. Zebra50 has probably posted it somewhere in the past. I'd guess maybe 2.5:1 from memory.

Then find something decent and small enough and slap it in and give it a go.

I'm sure it's come up in the past, but I had a quick search here and didn't find it. I have some notes somewhere from when we did some 'group' reverse engineering on these babies. I'll have a dig through my notes and see what I found.

Just wanted to add that the ratio is considerably higher than what Roddy indicated. About 8:1; there was a post somewhere with the exact measurements of several units. Oktava did use a lower ratio transformer in the cathode follower output version of the MKL2500, though.

It's possible to use the 219/319 transformer in a plate out tube circuit.
