Hi Folks,
I'm working on an SSL 9k pre.
Regards the unbalanced output, I'm almost always going to sending it to a MOTU 828 MKII in the same rack - about 2 feet away. Am I right in thinking the unbalanced output will be fine for this - is there anything worthwhile to be achieved by adding the balancing board? There doesn't seem to be much point in adding components in line if it's not doing anything thats needed?
Alternatively, I have some spare 600:600 transformers and could use those, or could add a pin3 resister to ground like the Fetboy or try the Jensen "simple alternative" circuit (section 2.4 of an003.pdf)?
(I'll use a JLM go-between for changing polarity)
recommendations?
thx
Mike
