Mic Capsule Polarization Question

Intersting thread indeed....So could we make our HT supplies varable to give us different sounds ?????

That's what I have. All my mics are 5pin XLR (it could be in fact, 4pin), where one of the pins is dedicated to capsule polarization voltage which is between 30-200V.
 
So Marik you have 2 HTs 1 for amp & variable for capsule ??..............Interesting.

Im currently having a problem with my mic PSU HT its down to 70V instead of 120....so I spose the capsule is at un standard voltage which may not be a prob but the amp part is being starved....tho it does sound good...but im wondering if it was ever right as in correct voltage ...dont think it was.

looks like im gotta be doin some experiments.
