Trying to find a circuit to use that can buffer a Sunrise acoustic mag pickup.......here's a link to a commercial unit....gives an idea of specs.....

http://www.thepodium.com/p-13280-sunrise-sb-1-preamp-buffer-box.aspx

Something small that i can hook on my belt, i did build the Tillman j201 unit but it doesn't really have enough gain(can you daisy chain 2 of the Tilman units for more gain?) the output of this unit will feed a dual blender preamp.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

You could try this
http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?board=6.0

It is a circuit I designed and let Aron use as a beginner project.  Don't let the beginner project name influence you.  It is a simple build you could make the 5K gain control a trim pot.  It has a min gain of about X2 and a high input resistance because it is a bootstrapped circuit.   Try different transistors with different hfes.

If you build it please report your findings.

Many thanks Gus, i'll give this one a go next week or two!
Thanks again...
