I was listening yesterday evening to Love Has No Pride sung by Linda Ronstadt from a 1976 concert - absolute magic. We are in a hotel room in Playa San Juan near Alicante in Spain. My wife has been up half the night vomiting and we are waiting for a doctor to arrive. I don't think we will be flying home today!

I'm loving this at the moment, she's a real artist who's just "doing her thing" and not
paying any attention to what's "hot" this week !!
Beautiful person and beautiful music  :)    ( Kinda reminds me of the old Kate Bush, which is no bad thing )

not right now but recently rediscovered a slice of the 70's
with Captin beyond [ dancing madly backwards on a sea of air ]
and Spirit's the 12 dreams of Doctor Sarconacous

not bad for the time , and early on the concept level

I was going down to see the accountant, and no doubt another loss making year. But I was determined not to get the blues in the way. So I stuck in the Sopranos sound track. First track is The Police and Henry Mancini, remix of Every Breathe You Take. What a cracking remix. Rest of the CD is equally full of great tracks.

Hmmmmm.... I wonder if there's a connection! ;)

Seriously though, -Hope you get well soon.

And NOBODY wants to sit on the same aircraft as anyone who is close to hurling chunks, so I think you should go for the extra week, and have the travel insurance cover the cost of accommodation! ;D

From a Trojan reissue: "I mean it", Derrick Morgan [1967, Hop Publishing, produced by Leslie Kong].
Fantastic lazy slow swinging rhytm.

Well since you asked, I'm literally at this moment listening to "When You're Ready" by David Wilcox. It's in my "General Greatness" playlist in iTunes.

Gustav, I love that song. That's as good as the studio version. Amazing!

Bat For Lashes reminds me of Sarah McLaughlin! (also not a bad thing)

I've been listening to the new Dananananaykroyd album which is sort of noisy pop:

For comedy reasons, I've been watching this video, Wifebeater by Facecast:

This is my house,
These are my rules,
Get off your ass,
And make me some food.

"None of the above" - The Bears I love "Fear is never boring too"... I think Bob Fetters is a great unknown guitarist whose tone is most similar to my own. They o just fine without Adrian Belew IMO.

Right at this moment? I'm whistling "Please Please Me" to myself. Been doing that ever since they played it on "Fresh Air" today at noon.

Peace,
Paul
