What was the secret to that great sound? Imho, some of  the best sounding rock/pop records of all time (Queen, ELO, etc.) was cut there.
Sure, it helps to have Freddie singing or Jeff arranging songs, but there certainly is a sound there on top of all that artistic greatness.
Anybody been there during that "golden" era?
I think I read somewhere that they had a Helios board and Scully multitracks. But im not sure.

Hmm.........I recall seeing photos of the control room on the web a few years ago. But for the life of me I cant remember where, and I cant seem to find them now. Google gives me nothing.
I wonder what the actual recording room(s) were like. Acoustic treatments etc.
That would be really interesting to know.
