Nice. Would like to see more about that passive mastering console. What switches did you use and is there a diagram or shematic? Looks very elegant.

Dude, you look ugly but your gear look great!!

I guess I need to mention your name to get some good prices on Elma switches right?

Wonderful work! Get that Sontec on! :)

cheers!
Fabio

The best feature is the "mode" -switch. Two toggle switches. When pointing to left & right, you're in stereo. When they point towards center, you're in mono. When both are pointing left, you have left mono, and vice versa.

And how do you deal with the level bump in mono mode ?
I'm planning o make a monitor section myself (all passive but with some old relaiscards I'm having here)
A sort of schematic of the monitor section would be nice.

That looks just GREAT!!!

Why don't i have this in my racks?

A lot of wiring in there

Hey Jaakko,

What would it take fo you to make up a PCB design of that Master Stereo Pultec thingy?

I know you worked hard on it for a year and it drove you crazy, But I want one!
Would it be possible to get the design from you? Bribes?
Do you have any interest in making a complete PCB design of it?

nice silverbox, Jaakko!
I need such a unit too but are still unsure about the all the desired
features... I was thinking about a simple unit one switch for A/Bing processed and unprossed signal plus attenuator for "wet" signal plus a high resolution led peakmeter...thats all I need so far....any ideas for additional useful features? relay switched routing matrix.....etc...

So what's that piece-a-shit compressor at the top of ya rack then, Viitalahde?? Blue...hmm...I bet it sounds very cold and sterile, no?

Lucky bastard!

Great work Jaakko!!

I am looking at doing something similar with a relay switched insert section.

Can Brad Blackwood select the order of his processors in his box?? I thought he had six processors connected in series so he just switches them in and out....can he make insert one the third etc??

What DIY acoustic treatment did you do to your room??

Tom

Sounds cool Jaakko!

If only my apartment was big enough for a separate studio room!

I may have to PM Mr Blackwood to ask him some more specific questions about his and DC's design.

Are there any impedance loading issues with the 25k ladder attenuators in the process path?

Cheers Tom
