i housed my compressor in an old tube radio amplifier.

here's the raw (drilled) face plate attached to the unit.

two shots of the finished unit. not high tech but all together the faceplate and enclosure cost me $0.00.
faceplate was 1 piece of scrape sheet metal and a scape of aluminum i got from some sheetmetal workers i know and glued together(contact cement)

thanks Snatch. just to be clear. the only part of the enclosure i made was the faceplate. the rest of the enclosure is original from the radio amplifier.

Sweet! Looks like some mojo-packed vintage doodad that clients will drool over. Well played.

Also, I love to recycle cases of some misguided benevolence, but rarely do I conceal my handiwork so well as you have.  I have an old White Instruments EQ chassis that will soon contain a vari-mu comp.
