the lams were stuck solid without heat, they use a wax to hold them from moving, since this is an output
31 UI, sound familiar, same as A-10, HA-100X, Y-6431, that is the mag metals "insulaze" heat treat, (gold)

Nice hack.
No tears. Some casualties must be endured in the name of science.

Do you have the lams to wind some new ones? I'd like to see photos of the CJ repro too.

yeow

never been the type of fella who could stand blood, gore, and the like...

but i could not help but stare in morbid fascination.

my god! how graphic, how gruesome, i thought about primitive tribes who
hang the disected and mangled bodies of intruders at the boundries of their
territory as a warning to others...

had to look again and again, it's like close up stills from a snuff film.

this kinda makes me wanna go to medical school.

wow CJ

waffles and sausage to ya

or maybe some o' that stuffed french toast

you want some more, well heres some more, then..

to winders, that can be important leakage C and all that, see the splice? (2 wires going in the same place)

that is where the two sec coils meet to exchange birthday greetings,

yeah, that "super macro" was a pain, but once you get it figured, wow!

ok, i hope you liked this, i was gonna ebay this thing to pay for my web site, but, Nooooo!

you guys had to have more blood and guts,

whhich is fine by me,

hey, i get to hack another coil for Free!

(benefit of utc 31 UI, if you f*ck up, you get one more shot at it, or just to confirm first data)

CJ,

Many many thanks for all these dissections. It's extremely good fun watching these dissections and learning about the innards of classic transformers.

... and the new camera is great! It is like watching CJ-transformer-carnage tv in high definition!

hey, your welcome!

maybe i can get this a410 to take a wav file....

now i have to write all this crap up,

y6431

The transformer undertaker

He's secretly listening in .......... He'll pop up unexpectedly, you'll see.

Hey!

This message is aimed at CJ or anyone else who might know the answer!

I am trying to make this UTC A-26 but am not quite sure as to what is the thickness of each lamination of the UI31 core. CJ mentioned earlier that its 37 laminations but at what thickness are each lamination? 0.006'', 0.014''???

I know that no one has posted hear in a while but lets kick it off again!

Cheers
