i you ordered those control boards  yet.
thanks
skal1

Hello Skal1,

they were ordered this morning. Sorry for the delay. We had to get another "train" of boards going for some stuff thats in development in production first.
Control boards should be available in 2 weeks. We'll also have the switches in stock too.

Cheers

The digital switching boards look great! I'll be sure not to forget about those when I get to preamp building time!

These boards are now in stock, as well as the switches that are used. (we got a batch in recently).

Come geddem while they are hot! ;)

I'll edit this post soon to show a video of the switches and how to add different LED's to them.

cheers

Hi,

those switches come as standard with a cap. The exact cap is "03", found on the bottom page of the datasheet.
http://www.highlyelec.com.tw/product/ca2/3-7.pdf

I also have an Front Panel Designer file here somewhere for the board with the switches.
EDIT: Download from here: http://www.tendolla.com/designgallery/main.php/d/280-1/example+board_fpd
Rename the file to a .fpd

When using the VU meter board wouldn't adding a switch for input, output and GR metering without an active buffer cause distortion on the audio signal?

Also are the digital relay switches only for phantom, pad, and polarity or can you use them for any on/off function.  That would be nice.

your right, however, it'd add a very very small amount of distortion - in the same way an LA2A or 1176 does.
In fact, all the classic compressors monitor the output in the same way.

You could put an active buffer accross the output (secondary of the transformer) however, you do potentially spoil your galvanic isolation.

Regarding the digital relay switches, the controller can be used for anything. It essentially debounces the switches, and outputs 3v3 levels to drive the LED and another target (such as a relay card). You can use the controller to drive either the differential signal relay card, or the single ended relay card. (http://www.expataudio.com/expatshop/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=10)

You can also very easily create your own relay circuits - the circuitry to drive 3V3 to a 12V or 24V relay is very simple.

Hy

Do you have any idea when the digital ctrl front end mic pre will be available again?

Would love to use it for a SSL9K pre.

So with this board i ad P48, Polarity and a Pad to the mic, isnt it?

That means i only need, besides the  board, +48V and some PSU für the Board.

Otherwise i have to use a JLM Kit.

regards

Hello,
When will you have the turbo boards back in stock?
Thanks

I'm about to do another reorder from our supplier for:

GSSL Turbo boards
Mic Pre Front End boards
"$5 Mic Pre" boards *NEW Prototypes*

Lead time is about 2 weeks (plus or minus a few days).

Cheers

Hey Rochey,

If i live in Plano/Frisco, can I get the CRC and diff relay boards directly from you? :)

PM me?

Thank you!

Ludwing

Hello Rochey,

am I right, that for ordering the Turbo and CRC boards, I have to register me on the Expat site, and order it there?

Becaus I've looked several times in the last time on the Expat site, but the Turbo's were always "out of stock" ???

Many thanks,

BigBellC

Hello BigBellC,

My contract manufacturer has informed me that the PCB's have finally shipped from the factory. They should arrive here in Dallas, TX towards the end of next week.

All backlog orders will ship at that point.

/Rochey

They've shipped from the manufacturer!

However, I think they will be in Dallas before I am.
(Currently sat in Tokyo with a 6 hour layout... And halloween style bloodshot eyes)

Once I get confirmation that they've arrived, I'll update the stock level on the website.
