Stopped at the free bin outside my local components pushes, and took two rather random items home:

A transient suppressor (overvoltage protection?) from Farnell: 1.5 KE 18B Gl 9516

Some 24pin IC labelled: 29 UP (c) 92 DIO 324-1843-001

Any hints on where/if they might come in handy?
