looks like 60 turns per layer bi-fi, 12 layers, 720 turns ea winding

outer winding used heavier wire to balance the dcr, gauge is hard to measure, it is bare wire ,

thanks for the reminder, i almost forgot the  hardware shot,

should i write this up? i mean, whats the point, where would you buy cloth wire and primitive lams?

who would want to wind a piece of sh*t like this anyway? made by the millions, on every lamp post,

i think they wind right over that middle leg, chuck it up in a non round fixture, (square or rectangle :eek: )

not sure why anyone would want to these days, but you could get close to this idea with the C core plus I lamination thing that mag metals is pushing on their site:

From what I remember I had somewhere that cloth insulated wire stuff. No idea where and/or gage. If you need, that's all yours.

OT, where do you get mu-metal cans in smaller quantities?
