Hello to everyone
I am realizing a couple of Altec 436 clone compressors and I'd like to know if I can use as input transformer the OEP A262A7E.

From an older Prodigy thread

"The original Altec input is not 15K:15K, it's a 1:2 step-up. And the output is 28K:600. ... "

Uses Sowter iron.

Thank you Mark
I know that the best solution is to use the Sowter transformers, but I own two OEP A262A7E ... and I'd like to know if it possible to put them as input in a Altec 436 clone

I'm sure it's possible, but it will not match the 1:2 spec since as far as I know the transformer you have is 1:1. I would try it in the circuit and see how it sounds & measures.
