here we go again, this time it is a Sescom Inc. (wtf, over?) 75 to 600 ohm input transformer.

i was thinkin, always a dangerous prospect, that this could be a MC or Ribbon mic? let us rip it apart,

umm, 3 ohms DCR pri,  5.5 Henries, D: .932

Sec:  40 Henries, D:.84

BTW, if you are always wondering about D, it's inverse is Q,

Q goes up as the core perm goes down, so D goes down as the core perm goes down,

so 80 Ni lams will have a a high D number, 50/50 lower, and grain steel would be the lowest, ok  :-\

so this guy, with a D of close to 1, should have a high perm core, i guess 80 Ni, what say?

so we end up with a sec-pri-sec-pri structure

pri: 274 turns of #29  sec: 772 turns of #29 we are working a 600/75 ohm Z ratio = 1:8 = 1:2.8 T.

core is 21 EI,  35 lams of 80 Ni .014 , 1 x 1, sq. stack, 1/2 by 1/2 = 1/4 " cross.

Few thousand years later they'll find CJ's notes on dissected transfomers, like the Dead Sea Scrolls, and they'll go " gee, they were well advanced in surgery".
