So... once it's opened up, do you pull the PCB & the diaphragm assy. out together, or do you loosen the nuts at the top of the PCB in order to get at the back of the board? If the latter, how do you tighten it all back up again?

It's been a while since I opened one but I don't think you have to remove the capsule wires.
The problem with this is that the main board is wired to a second board that sits under the switches. The switch panel lifts off and the main board slides out but they are still connected. It can be VERY difficult to thread this assembly through the case without de-soldering some wires.
Most of the wires are pink, so keep carfeul notes of what was connected to where!
