We did these tracks as extras when we made the ZOMBIE BOOGIE Halloween record earlier this year. We cut these songs live in their living room over a weekend.  Guitarist is also playing the drums at the same time.

That's some MAD alley slap on the snare and vocals.  Were you clipping the snare on one of the big boys?

My SA-39 makes a fractured sound like that on drums if you really push it.

Sounds like a fun project.

I think it's Distressors on the kick and snare mics.  The snare was flopping around on a bunji-cord assembly with a kick pedal, and likely moved and physically hit the mic at times.  The verb is the built in echo on their practice mixer, which they insisted on printing.  I routed so I could print it separately.

Sounds great to me. I play in a psychobilly band with my brother, and I'm gonna buy him their record for X-mas. He'll love it.

Thanks!

Do you know about Heavy Rebel Weekender here in NC?  This was year 9.

That looks like a cool event. Maybe we can make the trek next year.

About the crappy PA mixer echo, my brother uses the same sort of thing in obnoxious doses. To the point that I don't need my echo pedal on guitar, because his mic is picking up enough to create a wet guitar signal.  ::)

I know it's "the style," but some of these ___billy bands need to go on an echo diet.  :D
